Due to an unfortunate and rigid decision by the University of North Carolina General Counsel, Hold 'Em For Hunger 2008 has been cancelled due to legal concerns. This comes as a great shock to myself, the Hold 'Em For Hunger Executive Board, and Nourish International. Please trust that we had no intentions of any harm to our players, sponsors, or UNC and none of the aforementioned will be affected by this decision.
We are in the process of quickly planning another large-scale event in an attempt to salvage as much funding as possible for Nourish International's Summer Projects in Central and South America. If you would like to make a donation to Nourish International in this tough time, please visit www.nourishinternational.org. All players that have bought tickets in advance should have received an email notifying you of a full ticket refund.
Once again, I am truly sorry for this happening and would like to express, on behalf of Nourish International, my heartfelt thanks for your willingness to support our endeavor.
